- Mount Batur Trekking – Mount Batur trek is one of the best things to do when you are in Bali and is at its best at sunrise. The trek is abit of a challenge but is achievable for people of most ages with some fitness. Mount Batur is an active volcano located at the centre of two concentric calderas northwest of Mount Agung Bali. A caldera is a large depression formed when a volcano erupts and collapses. The southeast side of the larger 10km x 13km caldera contains a caldera lake. The inner 7.5-kilometer-wide caldera, which was formed during emplacement of the Bali, has been dated at about 23,670 and 28,500 years ago. Many tourists visit this place to enjoy the view and make the climb.
